Astrology and sound healing
The relationship between sound and the cosmos has been explored in every culture and throughout history. This presentation will explore how the astrological perspective can affect sound healing, ritual, and self-realization choices. We will examine the methods of Pythagoras and the Neopythagoreans plus a Keplerian view; this lecture will consider chart selection for healing purposes and alternative anatomies, including draconic technique declination and anatomical microsystems. This presentation provides a profound approach to healing that fits well in the astrologer’s toolbox.

Our practice of astrology usually has us interpreting the positions of planets in their journey along the Ecliptic, the background of which is the zodiac. Yet there is another circle that connects the planets to our life on Earth: the circle of the Horizon.

12:00 – 1:30 Lunch
Time to take a break and enjoy some food and laughter

Our life is made up of cycles, rhythms, and frequencies. See how to apply the Medicine Wheel teachings to consciously know when to implement change and when to sit back and wait for the ‘dust to settle’ before taking action. Our astrological chart shows us the path to success. Let’s gather some tools to know how to get the most out of passing cycles.

Cocktails 5:30 – 6:00 pm
Dinner 6:00 – 7:30 pm
7:30 – 8:30 pm Keynote with Rick Levine
Soulful Astrology: Bringing the Planets Down to Earth Plato taught that spirit ascends to the heavens while soul descends into the body. Spirit is upward and outward; soul is downward and inward. William Blake wrote, “Body is a portion of a Soul discerned by the five senses.” For millennia, a right-handed, left-brained, male-dominated culture aimed astrology toward the stars. Now, our culture is embracing gender fluidity that is transforming astrology with its left-handed, right-brained feminine perspective, requiring us to embody the cosmos instead of reaching outwardly toward it. Carl Jung wrote, “One who looks outside, dreams. One who looks inside awakens.

Gardening with Astrology. Growing amazing, healthy plants and amazing produce with the help of the Moon and planetary cycles

11:30 – 12:30 pm Alex Trenoweth
Ojibwa Dreamwork In the Ojibwa tradition, when you sleep your spirit is free to roam the world and encounter people, beings and experiences not available to you in the waking world. Understanding the meaning of dreams becomes important both to teach us as well as warn us of impending dangers. After working with South African Sangoma Rod Suskin, Alex learned how astrology can help reveal the hidden meaning of dreams. She will reach into her files to present case studies of dreams from (consenting)
clients and will invite the CAC audience to share their dreams to demonstrate the power of the unconscious as well as the peace of mind that comes from understanding its messages
Closing 12:30 – 12:45 pm
Lunch 12:45 – 1:45 pm
1:45 – 5:45 pm Post Conference Workshop
Improving Natal Chart Consultations: Where the Planets Meet the Earth There is an ongoing dance between learning new astrological techniques and actually applying them in our work with clients. How many techniques can we bring into a consultation? What are tried and true methods to improve our chart reading skills and hone our consultation skills?
Participants of this workshop will explore the dynamics of client sessions, the wide variety of goals astrologers have for doing client charts, and some basic pitfalls that we can learn to avoid. Rick will guide us through several different approaches to chart work and share his own goals and methods. Using concepts from “Quantum Astrology,” you will learn Rick’s method of prioritizing the importance of different factors in a reading. We will explore aspect synthesis, using chart patterns and harmonic resonance. We will learn how to focus on the most important issues presented by a chart, using natal analysis, transits, and secondary progressions by synthesizing the data. We will focus on the analysis of life-changing transitions as catalyzed by the transiting outer planets and on Rick’s additions to Grant Lewi’s techniques of tracking transiting Saturn over the angles and through the four quadrants.Rather than emphasizing the client session as a performance by the astrologer, we will gain practical knowledge and experience of changing the traditional dynamics of chart reading. Volunteers will be taken from class for real-time live demonstrations of these techniques. Class participants will gain a fresh perspective that can be incorporated into their client work, no matter what their current skill level and regardless of what specific techniques comprise the body of their work
